February 2021 Overview C++ IT-Events

Tuesday, 2. February

Meeting C++ – [Online] This meeting also serves as a testing ground for wonder.me, an online service which might host some of the future meetings of the group. This will be a unconference style event, you will (likely) need a mic and a webcam to participate. The event is not recorded.

Thursday, 4. February

North Denver Metro C++ – [Online] In this talk, Roi Barkan will briefly discuss concepts, and focus on their pros and cons compared to more mature mechanisms. Special attention will be given to the ‘semantic’ vs. ‘syntactic’ nature of concepts, and Roi will try to give motivating examples of semantic-only concepts. He will explore best practices, and show potential pitfalls in various approaches to the challenge of defining interactions between generic code authors and users.

Wednesday, 10. February

C++17 In-Depth Mentoring and Study Group-Austin – [Online] Let’s Learn Modern C++17 Together – it’s like a whole new, even better language! We cover modern C++17 and C++20, as well as Qt.io QML and widgets.

Utah C++ Programmers – [Online] In this month’s meeting, Richard Thomson will present a brief introduction to CUDA with the Thrust library to program the GPU. Programming the GPU with CUDA is a huge topic covered by lots of libraries, tutorials, videos, and so-on, so we will only be able to present an introduction to the topic. You are encouraged to explore more on your own!

Ansible Meetup Dresden – [Online] This talk is supposed to be how it is with help. Enabling plugins is to use the object-oriented approach with Ansible roles.
