WeAreDevelopers Community – [Online] we will get a grasp on mobile development, look at responsive design choices, let touch gestures control our application, and fully embrace the small screen.

MUC++ – [Online] Not all programs are created equally: some use hardware resources optimally, others not so much. In this lecture we will talk about two basic types of hardware bottlenecks: the CPU bottleneck and the memory bottleneck. We will give information on how to recognize if your code is memory bound or CPU bound and some ideas on how to overcome these limitations.

Software Engineering Community – [Online] Kevlin Henney will introduce the topic of Architecture as Knowledge. It is common to consider software architecture as structure, as infrastructure, as code, as technologies, as models, and so on, but what if we consider software architecture as knowledge? The idea that software architecture is the set of significant decisions about a system is not a new one, but those decisions represent knowledge.

Thursday, 16. March

Agile Maturity – [Online] Develop your Agile Maturity together with others and become part of Berlin’s Co:Learning Community! This free event is an open space, which we will moderate. You are free to choose your own topics regarding new work, agile working, scrum, retrospectives, leadership at eye level, organizational development or whatever else comes to your mind on the topic of new working environments.

Rust Community Stuttgart – [Online] A Place for Meeting, Show Projects, Discussions, and anything else you have in mind.

Meeting C++ – [Online] Volker Hilsheimer has been working with C++ and Qt since the late 1990s, and started developing Qt professionally when joining Trolltech in Oslo, Norway in 2000. After some Qt-less and C++-free excursions through the configuration management, system automation, and telco domains, he joined The Qt Company in 2018, where he focuses on the graphics and UI modules of the framework, and maintains QtWidgets and Qt TextToSpeech. When he has time, then he tinkers on a vagrant extension called minicoin that makes it easy for C++ and Qt developers to build and test their code in virtual machines.

C++ User Group Dresden – [Online] Mr. Reischuck will jump in with the first talk: “std::function – a deep dive behind the curtain”. C++11 introduced std::function as a versatile tool that was lifted from boost to the STL. C++23 will probably introduce std::move_only_function as the first major extension. But it comes with some caveats that you should know. With std::invoke introduced in C++17 it has become convenient to build your own derivatives.

Friday, 17. March
